At Solutions we have a passionate commitment to graduate recruitment and development which forms an integral part of our talent management strategy. We are interested in bright, passionate and creative people who live and demonstrate our values in their everyday life.

In conjunction with several DHB's, Solutions initiated the first multiple health provider graduate recruitment programme for the sector in 2007. We are now in our second year and the programme has grown to include two new participating organisations, including one from the private sector. It is well recognised that there is a significant shortage of clinical health staff; yet, the not so well known fact is that there is also a considerable shortage of non-clinical staff.

Our strength and reputation is founded not just on the technical ability of our staff, but on their personal qualities as well. In any role you will need to show determination, excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work in teams. We also expect a number of our graduates to possess the commercial flair, initiative and leadership qualities to develop into the health managers of the future.


Training & Development

Through the Solutions programme, a select number of BHSc graduates from the University of Auckland have a unique opportunity to work within at least two of the participating health organisations in specific business areas over a period of 12 months.

Our graduate training programme is designed to provide you with a broad range of skills. From the beginning of your training you will be working on projects where you will be expected to make an immediate contribution, ensuring that you gain the experience required to help you define and progress your career path and direction.

After successfully completing 12 months the aim is for you to be offered ongoing full time employment with one of the participating organisations and start on an exciting and rewarding career within the health sector.

Do You Qualify?

We are not just interested in academic qualifications because we know that to be successful in health you will need to be proactive, demonstrate initiative and the ability to take responsibility. Throughout the selection process we will look for evidence from your university, travel or work experience where you have demonstrated these capabilities.

Recruitment Steps

The application stage is where we begin the process of getting to know you. Once you have submitted your application form, CV and covering letter, this will be assessed and if your application is successful you will be invited to take part in a panel interview. This may be followed by a secondary process of an assessment centre. This is your opportunity to impress us and we’ll get to know more about your interests and achievements and why you want to be part of our programme.
